have the storage space and I honestly do not want dozens of different designs sitting around the house. For example – I don’t want to hold on to Halloween liners for 11 months waiting to use them again. So when I was offered the chance to try out the Sunsella silicone baking cups in exchange for my honest and unbiased review I agreed.
When the silicone baking cups arrived I thought the colors were nice and vibrant. These would be fun to use when making muffins or cupcakes. I also instantly thought of using them in my daughter’s lunch box to add some color. But my first test with them was to make some cupcakes. Cupcakes are popular in my house and I wanted to see what the reaction would be when we didn’t have paper liners. So I made up my batter and baked as directed. I really like that I can use these with or without a cupcake pan. I just placed them on a jelly pan and baked away. Then I took them out and let them cool. Once completely cool I frosted them up and set them out for the kids to find. When the kids first saw them they didn’t even notice the silicone liners all they saw was chocolate frosting! But when it came time to “unwrap” the cupcakes they realized something was different. The silicone liners were easy to peel off the cupcakes without breaking the cake into little crumbles. I appreciated that. The kids loved that they no longer had shreds of paper wrappers to deal with.
Another great thing to use these liners for is the cup holders of the car. Just place a silicone liner in each cup holder and it will catch any coffee drips or soda spill keeping your car free from sticky messes. I really enjoyed using the silicone liners and look forward to all the treats we will be making with them.
