When the kit arrived I took it out of the box and looked it over. You get 8 colors ~ light blue, purple, green. dark blue, black, white, red and yellow. Plenty of choices and I can make pretty much any other color I may want or need with the ones provided. There are also 2 sponge tip applicators, a paint brush and 2 foam circles. I am assuming you dampen the foam and use that to wipe your brush clean in between colors. It’s a nice set to use at home or for a small party.
I was curious as to how the colors would mix up and if it would be difficult to use so I tried it out on my daughter. I didn’t try to create any one thing because I am not very artistic. The one thing I found lacking from the kit was a how to. I would love a how on creating a butterfly or some other simple face paintings. Like step one draw this and step 2 this. Something to that affect to give parents with little artistic skills a fighting chance. But I’m sure I can google some ideas and work with them later. As for the textures of the colors, well they are as runny or as thick as you make them. I highly suggest going light on the water and adding just a little at a time. Too much water and it’s a big mess with nothing you can really use.
Over all we really enjoyed this kit. The color selection is great! The tools are sufficient for a few uses. The only thing I would add is some tips and tricks leaflet and maybe some sticker gems for accents to the face painting.
