We had such a busy day today! Peyton and I are in Chicago visiting family and decided to take a day trip to the Lincoln Zoo. It was our first time and we had a blast! After the zoo, we went back to my Aunt’s house and we spent the rest of the day with our family. It was a warm day out, which means the kids are looking something cold to enjoy. But with all these children, we run into a few dietary issue. We have one that is lactose intolerant and another that has issues with Gluten. So, finding a summer treat that they can all enjoy is a challenge. Jolly Llama is a treat all the kids can enjoy!
We’ve been on a hunt for the past few summers for a treat that all the kids can have. In the past, one or more children have been left out of enjoying summer treats. But not anymore! This summer, we discovered Jolly Llama, a treat all the kids can enjoy. Jolly Llama is dairy free, gluten free and non-gmo. We were looking for a frozen treat that was gluten and dairy free.
I also like the wide variety of flavors that are available. We were able to find blackberry, mango, and strawberry at Wal-Mart last night. But there are lots more flavors available in the sorbet pops like banana coconut, pineapple coconut, and raspberry. They also have cream pops available in dark chocolate, mint chocolate, and sea salt caramel. I never found the cream pops but you can always use the store locator to help find your favorites.
The kids were pretty excited about the new treats, especially the two that have issues finding summer treats they can enjoy. I was excited about having 1 treat that everyone can enjoy!
I thought strawberry would be the one the kids went for the most. But it was actually the blackberry! And when they were done with their treats, every single one asked if they could have a second treat. With each pop being around 70 calories it’s ok to have a second one. At least I think so!
You won’t feel bad giving your children Jolly Llama pops because they are made with real fruit and do not contain any dyes, artificial flavors or high fructose anything. These are the types of treats you feel good about letting your child indulge in. I’m watching my calorie intake and even I indulged in a mango one.
Jolly Llama is the type of summer treat you’ll want to keep a full stock on hand. Currently, I have 4 boxes in my freezer! And I’ll probably always keep some on hand. With all the allergies and food intolerances of Peyton’s little friends it’ s nice knowing I have something in the freezer they can have. I hate when we have company and everyone is enjoying dessert except the lactose intolerant child. Not anymore, now the only problem will be making sure I have a flavor on hand they like!
Another wonderful nugget of knowledge about Jolly Llama is they are sold at Wal-Mart. Like at nearly every Wal-Mart. That means they are easy to find. I love that!
If you are throwing an end of summer BBQ or Back to School party pick up some Jolly Llama. Then you’ll have a treat on hand that all the kids can enjoy.
