Recently I took my first major vacation with my daughter. It was her first time on a plane and my first traveling through air port security with a 4 year old. It was stressful! I had tried
condensing all of our carry on items into one backpack. Well that didn’t work very well. By the time the actual travel day arrived I ended up with my backpack, my daughter backpack with books and activities for her, a blanket and travel pillow. All things I needed for a 3 hour flight but it was a lot of items to carry trekking across and airport while trying to wrangle a 4 year old. My biggest concern was – All of our money was in my wallet in the backpack. With all the commotion what if someone unzipped it and pulled out my wallet? I know I may sound paranoid but it was a real concern for me. So when I was offered a chance to try out a money belt in exchange for an honest and unbiased review I agreed. I was hoping this would help with our future vacations we have planned.
When the travel belt arrived I noticed the nice secure zipper closure. I would be able to place my cash, gift cards, credit cards and identification in this belt and zip it shut. Then I would be able to wear this under my t shirt or jacket and no one would know except me. I felt much more secure with the money belt than I ever did with the backpack. I could also see myself using this for when we go to carnivals and festivals. That way I can keep my money close and my hands free. No worry about sitting down a backpack and forgetting it somewhere or someone unzipping it and taking my wallet when I am preoccupied.
If you travel often or attend events with large crowds I highly recommend the money belt. You are able to keep you money and credit cards close at hand where no one can gain access to them.
