Instructions
First, you are going to take your non-stick spray and spray the inside of your Ninja Foodi. Then pour the chicken broth in. After the broth is in, pour the heavy whipping cream in. You need to do it in this order or you may end up burning the heavy whipping cream if it is sitting on the bottom of the pan. The chicken broth offers a buffer zone so this does not happen.Next, add the salt, pepper, and garlic to your liquid mixture.Pour the box of ziti pasta into the mixture slowly and try pouring it so it’s in an even layer through the pan. DO NOT STIR THE PASTA.If you have a mound of pasta sticking out of the liquid, take a spatula or spoon and gently press it down. Do not stir.Next, pour the crushed tomatoes evenly over the layer of pasta.Add the basil and oregano by sprinkling it over the crushed tomatoes.Place the pressure cooking lid on the Ninja Foodi and seal. Be sure your steam vent is closed. Set the Ninja Foodi to pressure cooker, high for 5 minutes. When the timer goes off let the pressure naturally release for 10 minutes before flipping open the steam vent. After 10 minutes of release the steam vent and release the remaining pressure. Once the pressure is reduced, remove the top and set aside.Stir in the parmesan cheese and make sure everything is well combined. You may use more than 1 cup of cheese if you prefer a cheesy ziti. It’s all up to you. You can even add a little mozzarella if you’d like.Serve while it’s hot and let people add additional cheese. This reheats nicely too! Just place in a dish with a towel over and heat up in 30-second intervals stirring in between until it’s at your desired temperature.
