Ingredients
Brown Sugar Syrup
1/2cuppacked brown sugar
1/2cupwater
1teaspoonvanilla extract
1/2teaspoonground cinnamon
Pinchof salt
Shaken Espresso
2shots espresso
1–2 tablespoons brown sugar syrup
1/4teaspoonground cinnamon
1/2cupoat milk
Ice
Instructions
Combine brown sugar, water, cinnamon, and salt in a small saucepan.
Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
Simmer gently for 3–5 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Allow to cool.
Brew two shots of espresso.
Fill a cocktail shaker or mason jar approximately halfway with ice.
Add espresso, 1–2 tablespoons brown sugar syrup, and cinnamon.
Secure the lid tightly.
Shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds.
Pour the shaken espresso and ice into a tall glass.
Top with oat milk.
Serve immediately.
Store leftover brown sugar syrup in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.Light or dark brown sugar can be used.For a sweeter drink, increase the brown sugar syrup.For the creamiest texture, try barista-style oat milk.
