Instructions
Directions
Step 1: Add the Liquid
Pour the coconut water into your blender first. Beginning with the liquid helps the blades move freely and creates a smoother blend.
Step 2: Add the Greens
Place the spinach and kale into the blender.
If your blender struggles with leafy greens, blend the greens and coconut water together for about 20 seconds before adding the remaining ingredients.
Step 3: Add the Fruit
Add the frozen mango, frozen pineapple, banana, and chopped fresh ginger.
If using the optional lime juice, add it now.
Step 4: Blend Until Smooth
Blend on high speed for 1 to 2 minutes, or until the smoothie is completely smooth and creamy with no visible pieces of greens.
If necessary, stop once to scrape down the sides of the blender before continuing.
Step 5: Taste and Adjust
Give the smoothie a taste.
If you'd like it a little sweeter, stir in the optional honey, agave, or turbinado sugar and blend again for a few seconds.
Pour into glasses and serve immediately.
