There are more than sandwiches you can use to make a lunch. Sometimes I forget about that and get into a sandwich rut. So today I took thick slices of Colby Jack cheese and used mini butterfly cookies cutters to turn them into butterflies! I used about 4 slices of thick sliced cheese to make 8 butterflies. I figured that was enough for lunch. Then I used a few Ritz crackers and tossed in a handful of pepperoni sticks. (I buy the pepperoni sticks at Target in the snack aisle.)
Next up was the fruit selection. I decided to use some green and red grapes and slice them up. I can fit about 10-12 grapes in her lunch box this way. Other wise she’d get about 7 grapes whole.
The Jello cups are coming up on the expiration date so they made it into the lunchbox today.
I wanted to add a little treat into the box. I haven’t been doing that lately and I found a little packet of Frozen Jelly Belly Jelly beans so that is what is in the center.
And I finished it off with some trail mix. Really it’s just peanuts and raisins now.
It was a fairly simple lunch box that just took about 10 minutes to pull together. I used 2 different butterfly cutters to give some variety. I also wanted to see if Peyton notices there are 2 different butterflies. If I would’ve had more time I could have done a few more different butterflies but I was in a hurry so two is all she got.
