Have you heard the news? Hyundai is adding two new models to its lineup! And you’ll be able to find them at Central Avenue Hyundai later this year. Later this spring the Veloster and Nexo Fuel Cell will be released for 2019!
2019 Veloster
More power and features than any other Veloster Hyundai has made before. They really gave the Veloster a makeover! This is not your typical hatchback model. Geared towards the young at heart and mind crowd they have filled the Veloster with lots of tech. With a standard 7-inch touchscreen to control the car a few features, you’ll be able to control on it will be Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are available, satellite radio, HD Radio, a premium audio system, a heads-up display, wireless smartphone charging, navigation, and Siri Eyes Free. The Veloster also offers Hyundai’s Blue Link system, a subscription service that includes remote start, remote door lock/unlock, a car finder, roadside assistance, and stolen vehicle recovery.
There’s also a new engine in the 2019 Veloster. They are using a new 2.0-liter four-cylinder making 147 horsepower (15 more than the old engine) and 132 pound-feet of torque. You can get that with a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic. The Veloster N has a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder making 275 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. Other performance upgrades include larger tailpipes, an electronically controlled sport suspension, extra cooling ducts for the brakes, a sporty aero kit with a spoiler, and 18-inch Michelin Pilot SuperSport summer tires. Pirelli P-Zero summer tires with 19-inch wheels are available.
2019 Nexo Fuel Cell
If you are looking for an electric car then you’ll want to check out the 2019 Nexo Fuel Cell. However, this one looks like it may be available in California markets only so you may need to special order and have it shipped to you. But I think you’ll see why it’s worth. Unlike other electric cars, the 2019 Nexo Fuel Cell is said to charge in as little as 5 minutes! You can literally stop for a restroom break and come back to a fully charged car! And you’ll be able to up to 370 miles between charges, that a few hours, so those road trips that you would have to think twice about taking an electric car on may not be as tough to plan as before.
Another improvement with the 2019 Nexo Fuel Cell is sound, it’s quieter to drive and more compact. Nissan achieved this by shifting the battery pack to the trunk. The Nexo offers a 95-kW fuel cell and 40-kW battery pack. That’s how you can go for 370 miles between charges and boosts output to 161 horsepower and 291 lb.-ft. of torque.
These are just a few highlights of whats coming for 2019. For more information or to learn about other 2019 models head over to Central Avenue Hyundai and they’ll tell you all about it!
