Coola is More than Sun Protection

I received one or more of the products or services mentioned above for free in the hope I would mention it on my blog. Regardless, I only recommend products or services and believe will be good for my readers. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR, Part 255: "Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising."As many of you know I am a skin cancer survivor. About 10 years ago I underwent 2 surgeries to remove melanoma from my face. They were invasive surgeries that required reconstruction on my lip. I had an amazing plastic surgeon and you can barely tell anything ever happened. Ever since that day I have been using sunscreen year round. Even if I’m not going outside I still apply sunscreen because harmful UVB rays do not know the difference of me sitting outside on the deck or looking out a window. Either way, I’m going to protect myself.

Coola Sun CareFor the past month, I have been using Coola products to help protect my skin and enjoy the summer.  My absolute favorite Coola product is the Guava Mango sunscreen spray. Why?? Because it smells amazing, is easy to apply and has an SPF 50! I’m extremely pale and I burn easily so I like to use sun care products with high SPF to help ensure I am less likely to turn lobster red. Well, I took this little gem with me to Florida and I came back pretty much the same way I left Minnesota. I did get a mild tan while wearing Coola but that’s ok. I was in Florida, for 5 days, out in the Florida sun and not one burn anyway on my skin. That’s impressive!

Here are the ways I used Coola products –

Coola Guava Mango sunscreen spay – I applied it all over a few times a day. Usually every 4 hours, I wanted to be sure I didn’t get burnt and we went on lots of water rides. Though the day we went to the water park I did apply every hour, it is water resistant for up to 80 minutes but I was submerged in water so I did it a little sooner.

Coola Sport Tint SPF 50 – I used this every day we were there and never wore foundation. The little bit of time in the stick gave me the coverage I wanted while we were out and about.

Coola liplux SPF 15 – This was with me everywhere. My lips were getting dry with all the sun and heat. The liplux helped to give my lips a little extra protection while also hydrating them. And it’s peppermint vanilla!

Volcano BayI LOVED having these in my bag while on vacation. Another big benefit of Coola is all the products felt light and there was not a greasy after feel. So, when I sprayed myself down with the Guava Mango I didn’t feel like I need to wait for it to “dry” I was able to keep enjoying my vacation.

If you are heading off for a last bit of summer hurrah or planning a fall get away you really should look at Coola. They have several products that will help keep you protected year round. And if you are not heading off anywhere warm I still think you need to look into stocking up on some Coola. I use sun protection year round. UVB rays cannot tell the difference between winter and summer. They still cause damage.

You can find Coola at Sephora, Ulta and Nordstrom, as well as at coolasuncare.com.
