Grab some popcorn and get ready to catch Descendants 2 tonight! If you’re not going to be home, be sure to set your DVR to record. Peyton and I will be traveling to Chicago this afternoon for her to spend a few weeks with her cousins, so, unfortunately, we won’t be able to watch it tonight. But I did set the DVR so we can watch it when she returns home!
In Descendants, we met Mal, Evie, Carlos, and Jay – the offsprings of various Villians. They entertained us with amazing dance numbers and catchy music that drew you into the show. We watched as they struggled with fitting in with the other children in the United States of Auradon and following their parent’s orders. We left them, with just having turned Maleficent into a lizard, partying the night away with the other children from Auradon. It looked as if the children had found happiness and were fitting in!
In Descendants 2, we catch up the with the gang and see them adjusting to life in Auradon. It’s a struggle for them. After all, they grew up being taught how to be villains! They are all really trying, but Mal cracks. She can’t take the pressure of trying to be royally perfect and runs back to the Isles of the Lost. But things have changed since the last time she was here. Remember, in the end of Descendants they turned Maleficent into a lizard? Well, since she’s gone and so are Mal, Evie, Jay, and Carlos a new group rose to the top to rule the Isle of the Lost.
Mal finds herself no longer in a position of power or authority. Uma (China Anne McClain), Ursula’s daughter, and her friends, Harry (Thomas Doherty), Captain Hook’s son, and Gil (Dylan Playfair), Gaston’s son, have taken her place as ruler of the island.
Boy things have changed! You’ll have to tune in tonight to find out what happens. Descendants 2 will premiere tonight, July 21, 2017, on six different television networks simultaneously: ABC, Freeform, Lifetime, Lifetime Movies, Disney XD, and Disney Channel. Check your local listing for start time.
