When we moved last year I went through and upgraded all of our televisions. One of the big things I treated myself to was a 55-inch 4k television. It was a serious upgrade from the 36-inch tube television we had been watching. A HUGE upgrade. Instantly I could tell the difference. The picture was much larger and it was crisp! It was as if I was having a movie theater experience in our own living room! Now, when new movies come out, we only watch them in our family room.
Today, Thor: Ragnarok was release in 4k and Blu-ray. Peyton and I were lucky enough to see Thor: Ragnarok in the movie theater but we couldn’t wait to see it again. So that’s what we did. We popped some popcorn and sat down in the living room to watch it again in 4K. And it was awesome!
One of my favorite parts of the movie is the opening scene. When Thor is swinging around on those chains having a little chat, it just cracks me up. I loved it the first time I saw it in the movie theater and I loved it just as much when I watched it at home.
The 4K experience gives you a little more than Blu-ray and it’s so worth it! Even Peyton, a 7-year-old, can tell the difference between the other televisions in our home and the 4k television.
If you haven’t seen Thor” Ragnarok you really need to. Not only is it full of action and all your favorite Marvel characters but you’ll also meet a few new ones like Valkyrie and the Grand Master while enjoying a few laughs too.
Valkyrie was Peyton’s favorite out of everyone. She loves Thor but when she saw how badass Valkyrie was she instantly tossed him to the side and started cheering for her. She awesome! She may have lost her way for a while but she comes back strong like a Valkyrie warrior should.
Thor: Ragnarok is rated PG13 but to be honest I really do not think the humor or comments are any worse than what your child sees on prime time television. Peyton watched it and loved it! But then again, she watched all the Marvel movies and can never get enough.
Thor: Ragnarok is available in 4K and Blu-Ray everywhere today.
