This year has been all about health and wellness in our home. We’ve changed the way we eat, we started taking vitamins, we are out moving more and now we are reevaluating our clothing. Peyton and I love to dress comfortably, especially on the weekends. We want clothes that breathe, are comfortable and move with us no matter what we are doing. PACT Organic clothing does all those and is an environmentally conscience company.
Did you know that most cotton is farmed with pesticides and chemicals? Or that 20% of the world’s water pollution is thought to come from dying of textiles? At PACT Organic they only use organic cotton that has not been treated with chemicals or pesticides. Plus they ensure all dyes used in production are biodegradable or can be eliminated with proper water treatment. PACT Organics standards lower the impact on the environment by using practices that do not damage soil, pollute air quality, uses 71% less water and 62% less energy in its cotton production. That makes a huge difference! Think of how many outfits you go through in a year. Think of how many your children go through, I know there have been years when Peyton has gone through 3 or 4 sizes of clothes. I typically buy her cotton and when I think of how many cotton shirts, shorts, and leggings I have purchased I cringe at the thought of all those pollutants getting into the environment.
By having strict growing guidelines and production guidelines, PACT Organic is not only helping the environment it is also protecting farmers and industrial workers. They are no longer exposed to toxic, harmful chemicals in the process of growing cotton or dying it to prepare it for production. They also do not use child labor or sweat shops to make their clothing.
When you look at all these changes, you see a huge impact these standards make on communities, the environment and more. Then I learned organic cotton only makes up 1% of the world’s cotton! Can you believe that? 99% of the cotton used to make clothes, bedding and other textiles are made with toxic chemicals and grown with pesticides. And when you see the prices of PACT Organic you’ll wonder why? Their prices are comparable to the toxic companies, so how can PACT Organic make a product without harming the environment, not using toxic chemical, providing safe work environments and more? Makes you wonder.
There is a certain legging company that is all the rage right now because of their buttery soft leggings. Well, I can tell you that the PACT Organic leggings are just as soft (if not softer), they won’t rip leaving your bottom exposed, they are thick and they come in black. I love the PACT Organic long leggings, they are perfect to wear with a tunic or tank top. They are so soft.
I also tried out a few pairs of their organic bikini underwear and they are comfortable. They stay in place right where you put them. No riding up.
Here in Minnesota, spring is trying to arrive but winter keeps trying to pull us back to the frozen tundra. The lightweight hoodie is perfect to keep in the car for those days there is a chill in the air.
Everything I have tried out from PACT Organic clothing has been a superior quality and extremely soft. PACT Organic makes all their clothes by hand, you won’t find a machine sewing your clothes. They are made by individuals that take pride in their work and make sure that each piece of clothing is made with care.
PACT Organic carries a wide range of sizes in Men and Women’s clothing. They even have a baby line! Right now, all my readers can get 25% off their entire order. That’s right, 25% off! Simply enter the code PEYTON25 at checkout and use my special link to shop.
Keep an eye out on our Instagram over the next month. I’ll be showing off our new PACT organic clothing while we are out and about.
