Grandville Michigan is nestled along the shores of the Grand River, a short 10-minute drive southwest of downtown Grand Rapids. Grandville is full of parks, miles of hiking and biking trails, and one of the region’s largest shopping and dining districts. You’ll have the small-town feel but also have some of the best food and shopping around.
There are plenty of experiences to have in Grandville while you are visiting. Today, I’m going to share with you a few experiences I would line up if I were in town.
Eating Out
Food is always at the top of our list. I mean, who doesn’t like to eat? Our favorite places are local places, locally owned places that are not a part of a national chain. In Grandville, you can find several unique restaurants to try.
Adobe In and Out is a locally owned Mexican restaurant that has been around for nearly 50 years. They grew from one location to now have 4 locations throughout the area! It’s the place to go and enjoy some fresh food.
Outdoor Activities
There are so many outdoor activities that you can do around Grandville. With several parks to take advantage of you can hike, bike, take a stroll or even do some kayaking.
Millennium Park is the perfect park to visit and take a stroll on some of there 20 miles of paved hiking trails. They even allow bikes on the trails! So perfect for the whole family, the littles can bike and you won’t have to worry about rough terrain.
They also have a wonderful farmer’s market that you can take advantage of and find some in-season fruits and vegetables. If it was me, I’d hit up the farmers market and pick up some fresh fruit and then take a hike with Peyton. Then we could find a nice grassy spot with some shade and enjoy the fresh fruit.
Indoor Activities
If being indoors is more your thing or if the weather is not cooperating we have a few suggestions for you.
Fairlanes Family Entertainment Center is the perfect place to spend some time indoors. With over 40 lanes for bowling, a large bar, billiards, an arcade, and a full-service pro shop, there’s something for everyone. They even have glow bowling on the weekends! That’s a fun little twist to your bowling night.
If roller skating is more your speed that have that too! Take a spin around the rink at Tarry Hall Roller Rink. With space for 350 skaters, skate rentals, a skate shop, a 5,200-watt sound system, and a dazzling light show, it’s a great activity with friends or family.
These are just a few of the family-friendly experiences you can have while visiting the Grandville area.
