First Thoughts on Homewood Suites by Hilton Kansas City Speedway

Peyton and I travel frequently, which means we check out hotels often. However, this was my first time at a Homewood Suites and it was also one of the few times I traveled without Peyton.  The Homewood Suites by Hilton Kansas City Speedway is centrally located to shopping, restaurants and entertainment. It’s a great place to stay if you want to stay in the heart of the action with the comforts of home.

Homewood Suites by Hilton Kansas City SpeedwayI stayed in a king suite and found it to be perfect for all my needs. I think my favorite thing about this room was that the desk was movable! It was on wheels so I could move it to any place in the room if I wanted to work in different space. I could move it over my the bed or by the couch. It really was up to me where I worked. Though I left it right where it was because I was able to see the television and be close to the coffee maker.  I don’t know about you but whenever I stay in hotels I like to have the television on for background noise.

Homewood Suites by Hilton Kansas City SpeedwayAnother unique feature of the Homewood Suites is the kitchen area in every room. I really appreciated the full size refrigerator and freezer.  Too often, when we travel, we have leftovers but the little mini fridges never have enough room for our leftovers and bottled waters. That was not an issue this time. I had plenty of room to keep bottled water cold, my ice tea cool and all my leftovers. Plus, when I got the late night munchies and wanted to heat up those leftovers I had a microwave and a stove top I could use to do it. Have you ever heated up leftover pizza in a skillet?? I highly suggest it! It brings the pizza back to life without making the crust rubbery.  Also, all the pots, pans, dishes and utensils you need are fully stocked. Plus, there’s a dishwasher so you don’t have to make time to do dishes by hand while on vacation.

Homewood Suites by Hilton Kansas City SpeedwayHomewood Suites by Hilton does a great job at making you feel like you are home. With their large outdoor pool area, complimentary hot breakfast, snack shop and excellent customer service you couldn’t ask for more.
