Frozen 2 Chocolate Covered Marshmallows

It’s been a fun week sharing all of our Frozen 2 recipes. Peyton and I really enjoyed making them for the series. Today we are going to share with you a fun and simple recipe. We are going to show you how to take ordinary marshmallows and turn them into decadent Frozen 2 treats that any child will squeal with joy for.  These Frozen 2 chocolate covered marshmallows take about 15 minutes to make from start to finish.

Here is what you’ll need to make these Frozen 2 chocolate-covered marshmallow for your family –

Marshmallows
Wooden Skewers
Blue Chocolate Melting Wafers
Purple Chocolate Melting Wafers
White Chocolate Melting Wafers
Blue Mix Jimmies
Wax Paper
Sandwich Baggies

This recipe does move fairly quickly and I suggest you work with one color at a time. As the chocolate cools it becomes harder to work with and if you keep reheating the chocolate it can cause discoloration.

First, place three marshmallows on a wooden skewer. Repeat this step until you have the desired amount of marshmallow skewers you want.

Next, take a tall glass that is microwave safe and pour the blue chocolate melting wafers in it. Melt the chocolates in the microwave for 30-second intervals. Be sure to stir the chocolate after every 30 seconds or you will burn the chocolate.  When the chocolate is smooth and runny it’s time to start dipping the marshmallows.

Take a skewer with marshmallows on it and submerged it in the melted chocolate. Gently twist the marshmallow skewer out of the chocolate. Let the excess chocolate drip off the marshmallow skewer back into the cup. Repeat this step until you have the desired amount of skewers in this color. Set the chocolate covered marshmallows on the wax paper to set.

Repeat the process with the other two colors.

Take a large handful of chocolate wafers and place them in a plastic baggie. Melt in 30-second intervals, kneading the bag in between sessions, until the chocolate is melted.

Snip a corner off the edge of the baggie, drizzle the melted chocolate over the pretzel rods that are not the same color.

Repeat with the other 2 colors.

While the chocolate is setting up, sprinkle the jimmies on them.

Let the chocolate set and you can either display them and let people grab what they want. Or you can wrap them in individual wrappers to keep them fresh.

Be sure to check out our other Frozen 2 recipes this week as we will be publishing a new one each day!
