If you love sugar scrubs but hate the price tag or hate having to commit to a huge tub of one scent, you’re going to want to pay attention. Today we are making green tea and peppermint sugar scrub in a small batch. I prefer making small batches over large batches because I like variety in my shower. I want to change it up depending on what my mood is. Since this is a preservative-free sugar scrub it’s not going to have the shelf life like the ones you buy in store. There are no fillers or unnecessary ingredients in this sugar scrub.
Here is what you’ll need to create this green tea and peppermint sugar scrub at home –
1 cup pure cane sugar
⅓ cup olive oil
Content of 1 green tea bag
10 drops peppermint essential oil
Small latch lid mason jar
It takes just a few minutes to make a batch, this is even something you can whip up the morning you need it. However, I highly suggest letting the scrub sit overnight so all the elements can meld together.
First, in a small bowl, combine the sugar olive oil, green tea (only the contents of the tea bag, so cut it open and pour it into the bowl), and peppermint essential oil.
Next, stir it until blended thoroughly.
Then pour into airtight container. A canning funnel is great to use if you’re using mason jars.
Lastly, let it sit up for a few hours so all the elements can combine for the best experience.
