The holidays can make even the most organized person feel stressed. There’s so much to do! From finding the perfect presents to wrapping the gifts to planning holiday meals, it’s exhausting! Giusto Sapore understands how hectic the holidays can be and have created a whole line of spreads, bakery and more that can be pulled together in just a few moments but it’ll look like you spend hours! Doesn’t that sound wonderful?
When planning a holiday gathering it is suggested that you plan 2 ounces of cheese and cured meats per person. And I always throw in a little more just in case there is an unexpected guess or heavy eaters. And if your family is like mine, they’ll be sneaking nibbles while I’m preparing too.
Since Giusto Sapore is carried at my local grocery retailer I can pick up it up anytime. But for those that may not have a grocer near them that carries Giusto Sapore, don’t worry, you can order directly from them or Amazon.
Here are few of the Giusto Sapore items you could make to create your own tray –
There are several choices for antipasto – artichoke quarters (my favorite), peperoncino, pearl onions, dried tomatoes, spicy garlic and caper berries.
Giusto Sapore has several spreads that work wonderfully with crackers or crusty bread. They have caponata, black tapanade, mushroom spread, green tapanade, artichoke spread (my favorite), and garlic spread (another favorite, especially if toasted with a little parmesan)
Then you have to pick up a few jars of olives for the platter too. Giusto Sapore has several olives and anchovies to complete a platter. They have castelvetrano, cerignola, greek kalamata, Italian olive mix, flat anchovies, and capers.
Every good platter has plenty of crackers for dipping and topping. Giusto Sapore suggests using crostini, bruschetta, taralli, break sticks, baguette or focaccia for optimal dipping and loading up of all the toppings.
And the last items you’ll need are some cured meats and cheese. If your grocer has a good deli you’ll be able to find them there or near the deli. Some suggested cured meat s are salami, prosciutto, mortadella, pepperoni, soppressata, and capicola. If you can’t find bite-size or cracker size meats have the deli slice it thin then your guest can pile it on the crackers. For cheeses, Guisto Sapore recommends Parmigiano, bocconcini, provolone, taleggio, manchego, and gorgonzola. You can do thinly sliced cheese but I prefer big chunks. It’s really up to you.
Since many of the items are already sliced or ready to be served pulling it together will take a few minutes. You could serve it on a decorative cutting board or a large platter. Either way, Guisto Sapore will help make your holiday gathering a hit!
