With the new year here I want to focus on getting back to basics. Using more holistic products around our house. I’ve always used essential oils in our daily life to help promote a healthy lifestyle. Now, I want to start incorporating those into my bathroom and personal care routine as well. First up, Lavender Sugar Scrub! I am guilty of heading to the store and spending $35 plus for a sugar scrub. I think most of us are. But did you know they are really easy to make? And it’s only a few ingredients. Today, I’m going to teach you how to make a Lavender Sugar Scrub that you can use in the shower to help exfoliate and relax.
Here’s what you’ll need –
1 ½ cups sugar
½ cup coconut oil
20 drops Lavender Essential Oil
2 drops each of red and blue soap coloring
4 ounce Mason Jars
Large Bowl
Canning Funnel
This is so easy that even my kid can do it and it only takes a few seconds to make.
Step one – Combine all ingredients into the large bowl. Mix well.
Step two – Use the canning funnel to help fill the jars.
Step three – Put the lid on securely for storage
That’s all there is to it! These are great gift ideas or hostess gifts. This recipe will make 3 4 ounce jars or you can use a larger jar and just make one. It’s up to you.
Keep watching for more of our essential oil personal care products. We have some fun bath bombs coming up!
