Do you have plans for the weekend? Well, you may need to readjust. Ice Dragon: Legend of the Blue Daisies is coming to theaters for this weekend only! That’s right, it’s a 2-day event and then it’s gone. You don’t want to miss this. Let me tell you a little bit about Ice Dragon: Legend of the Blue Daisies.
Ice Dragon: Legend of the Blue Daisies is not your typical film. Just look at how it’s being released! Only 2 showings in 700 theaters nationwide.
There are 4 lead characters –
Melody – a gifted young dreamer who lives with her grandfather Nicholai in a beautiful mountain village. Passionate, independent and feisty, Melody loves to sing and believes that an ancient Song can bring hope to her people.
Leif – a daring, fun-loving boy who lives in the village. He doesn’t believe in dragons or in the Song like Melody but finds her enchanting. Their friendship marks the beginning of an amazing adventure and Leif’s journey to discover the true meaning of the Song.
Nicholai – an eccentric old teacher who lives in Sanctuary, an abandoned meeting place in the center of the village. There, Nicholai discovers a hidden wall with a long-forgotten painting that warns of the Blue Daisies disappearing and the return of an Ice Dragon.
Micheal – a loyal Guardian of the Song who serves the Giver of Gifts and the Light. He is strong but not all-powerful, for his powers are limited outside of the Realm. Michael can help Leif and the villagers, but not save them, for this requires faith & hope that they must discover for themselves.
You’ll see these characters throughout the movie. Melody and her feisty friend Leif, must set aside their differences and use the power of magical Blue Daisies and an ancient Song to save their world from an evil Ice Dragon. When the blue flowers that once bloomed all around her village begin to disappear, Melody and her eccentric grandfather recognize this as a sign of great danger… but no one believes them! Racing against time, Melody must convince Leif and the other villagers before it’s too late. Great songs and engaging characters highlight this inspiring, animated adventure for the whole family.
Doesn’t this sound like a wonderful film to take in this weekend? There will be two viewings –
Saturday, March 24 at 12:55 p.m. and Monday, March 26 at 6:30 p.m.
