As I’m waiting for my July IPSY bag to arrive I thought I would do a flashback to what I received this time last year. I’ve been an IPSY member for over a year now and I’m still loving it! Every month I receive new beauty products to try out. Here’s what I received last July –The bag was pretty funky. It felt more lake a tapestry type material with blues, yellow, black, pink and white patterned on the outside with a silky blue liner on the inside.
I was super excited for this bag because there was THREE full-size items!
be a bombshell cosmetics’s lip balm in ruby red was a big hit with me. It has a hydrating formula that left my lips feeling soft and smooth. The ruby red was a very light shade of red that I could intensify by applying more layers of the lip balm. Currently, it comes in 6 shade – Ruby Red, Darlin’, French Kiss, Indulge, Nymph and Stripped.
tarte cosmetics Amazonian clay waterproof bronzer was my second item I pulled out of the bag.
It’s now easier than ever to bronze, contour and glow with Tarte’s best-selling, multi-tasking bronzer formulated to blend and build your perfect level of uniform bronze and create the illusion of an expertly sculpted, slimmer appearance. Available in Tarte’s signature Park Ave Princess shade, this all-matte waterproof version adds instant warmth and dimension across a variety of skin tones as the Amazonian clay-infused formula helps to improve overall skin clarity, texture and tone for an overall lit from within complexion.
Next out of the bag was the AURORA Gel Effect Nail Polish. I received 4 Alarm Fire and I thought it would be a bright bold red but comes off as a pinkish color. This gel polish does not require a UV light to set like other gel polishes. And it still lasts 2 weeks!
The fourth item was Vasanti BrightenUp! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator.
Brighten Up! is a powerful scrub that brightens, rejuvenates, and cleanses, leaving instant results that will have your friends thinking you just left the spa.
I thought this worked very well at removing dead skin and smoothing out those fine lines. Definitely worth a try!
And my last item this month was the Octavio Molina La Playa Salt Spray. Creating beach waves without heading to the beach has been big for years. The La Playa Salt Spray is a sea salt spray infused with Algae Extract to help create the perfect beach waves. To be honest I barely ever use this. I live in the Midwest and have wavy hair so I really don’t need help creating waves. But I did like the Octavio. It gave my hair a more textured and chunky wave look.
So that was the flashback to last year’s July bag. Definitely worth the $10!
IPSY does have a waitlist so if you are debating on signing up I would sign up now and when you get your notification that you are in you can decide to cancel. Each month your card will be charged $10 and you’ll receive far more than $10 in beauty products.
