We are kicking summer off with the Janet Jackson: Together Again Tour with opening act Ludacris! What a fabulous way to start the summer and usher in months filled with fun, sun, and music!
The Together Again Tour is in its home stretch. The tour started in mid-April and will wrap up in mid-June. With only 30 stops on this tour, I feel very fortunate to have one of those stops be St. Paul, Minnesota! I know Minnesota has a special place in Janet’s heart and I am so glad she chose us for one of her shows.
I took Peyton with me to the Together Again tour last night. She has been listening to Janet Jackson and Ludacris since the day she was born. I’m a huge Ludacris fan so she knew every one of his songs and was up out of her seat dancing and singing along the whole time. I love being able to spend moments like this with her and make these memories that she will have for the rest of her life.
Ludacris did some of his most iconic songs, like the song that put him on the charts and in people’s playlists all over the country, What’s Your Fantasy. As well as Area Codes, Act a Fool, Stand Up and so much more. Ludacris had the crowd up out of their seats the whole time. He truly is a performer and loves what he does. Peyton’s favorite part was when he would leave the stage and come back with props on. Her favorite prop was the insanely large shoes that he wore while performing Move Bitch.
Ludacris needs to go on tour as a headliner so we can enjoy a whole show of just him! There were so many more songs we wish he would’ve performed. He just has so many hits!
The intermission between Ludacris and Janet Jackson was fairly short. I really appreciated that. At other concerts I have been to, the intermission has been 30+ minutes. But this felt extremely short. Just enough time to grab a smoothie and get back to our seats.
Janet Jackson took the stage with a dramatic opening with a curtain falling and her appearing on stage in an iconic purple cape. Her set list was filled with her hits spanning her whole career. We heard ballads like All for You and dance songs like Rhythm Nation. You got to experience the softer side and spicier side of Janet Jackson through her detailed and precise choreography throughout the show. There were also several costume changes that Janet worked into the show with minimal delay. I do not know how she was able to get those outfits on and off so quickly but it was never more than a few minutes that she was gone from the stage.
Janet’s outfits were stunning. I think the black and white outfit which was the 2nd outfit she wore was my favorite. All her outfits were glittery and looked amazing on her.
The Together Again Tour was an experience I am so glad I was able to share with my daughter. It was a night filled with music, fun, and laughter.
If you have the chance to see the Together Again Tour with Janet Jackson and Ludacris I cannot recommend it enough. It is a concert that is filled with chart-topping hits, talent, and more.
