I remember the first time I saw The Lion King, I instantly fell in love with Simba, Timon, and Pumba. Who wouldn’t? Well, Disney is bringing The Lion King back out of the vault and releasing it on Dvd and Blu Ray August 15th! Now a whole new generation will get to fall in love with Simba and his pals all over again.
At the D23 Expo Disney announced adding The Lion King to the Walt Disney Signature Collection!!! And they should! It’s one of my favorite films. Though it did come out when I was in High School I still loved it.
The Lion King is the fifth title to join the Walt Disney Signature Collection, which includes groundbreaking films created or inspired by the imagination and legacy of Walt Disney, featuring timeless stories and characters that have touched generations. It takes its place alongside Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Beauty and the Beast, Pinocchio, and Bambi.
And there will be some bonus features!
