Peyton instantly fell in love with Moana when we saw it back in November. Pua stole her heart. Peyton was so enamored with Moana that when I surprised with a vacation to Disney World (a few days after we had seen the movie) she couldn’t wait to see if Moana would be there! And guess what, she was. And we got to meet her!!
Starting February 21st, Moana will be available for digital downloads. Oh, I can not wait until Tuesday!! We will be streaming Moana after school. And I’m sure we’ll watch it at least 2 times. Moana will be out on Blu-Ray March 7th and we’ll be first in line to purchase it! We already listen to the Moana soundtrack every day in the car. (by the way that’s available now at your local retailer) Peyton loves listening to tracks 3-15. Non-stop. On repeat. All day. Every day.
If you haven’t seen Moana, let me tell you a little bit about her. Moana is the village chief’s daughter. They live on the island of Motunui. But nearly a century ago, a demi-god named Maui stole the heart of Te Fiti and a curse reigned down. Until her heart was returned, death and decay would spread throughout the ocean. One day, the villagers reported that there were no fish to be found and that the coconuts were black inside. Moana knew what she had to do. She had to find Maui and return the heart to Te Fiti so that her people would be ok.
Moana is a spirited girl. She wants to explore and see the world. He father wants to keep her safe at home. But they both knew someone had to find Maui and set things right. The remainder of the movie we see Moana find herself and find Maui. I don’t want to give the whole story away but I will tell you this, you will love it!
Moana is filled with wonderful music that will keep you and the kids signing along. Plus there’s an adorable pig, Pua and a crazy chicken, Hehe that instantly became favorites in our household.
So mark your calendars! Tuesday, Moana comes out on digital and March 7th on Blu-Ray
