There’s enough happening that you won’t spend the entire date sitting across a table trying to figure out what to talk about.

It Works for People Who Don’t Like Haunted Houses Too

This might actually be Nowhere Entertainment’s biggest advantage during Halloween season.

Friend groups frequently have one person who hates haunted houses.

They’ve offered Camp Nowhere, a youth and teen program centered around the art of haunted attractions.

Instead of simply walking through a haunted house, participants can learn about what goes into creating one.

That can include things like:

• Haunted-attraction performance

That’s such a fun niche program for a kid who’s obsessed with Halloween, theater, horror makeup or special effects.

There are plenty of sports camps.

Plenty of art camps.

But a camp teaching kids how to become haunted-house actors?

That’s different.

Is Nowhere Entertainment Good for Younger Kids?

Potentially, depending on what you’re doing.

The entire facility isn’t one giant haunted house.

Mini golf and arcade activities may work well for families with younger kids.

The haunted attraction is different.

Scare levels, age recommendations and specific experiences can vary, so check the current information before buying haunted-house tickets for younger children.

You know your child better than anyone.

Some eight-year-olds would think a haunted house was the greatest thing that ever happened.

Others will remember the experience during therapy in 2047.

Is It Good for Teenagers?

This is probably one of the groups I’d recommend it for most.

Teenagers can be difficult to entertain.

Especially when you hear:

“There’s nothing to do.”

Or get chased around a haunted attraction?

Pick one.

It’s also the kind of place teens can visit with friends without the activity feeling too young.

How Long Should You Plan to Stay?

That depends entirely on what you book.

If you’re coming for one attraction, your visit could be relatively short.

If you’re combining an escape room with mini golf, arcade games and the haunted experience, you could easily spend several hours here.

I’d decide which attraction is your priority first.

Reserve anything that requires a specific time.

Then build the rest of your visit around it.

During October, give yourself extra time.

Halloween attractions are naturally busier as October 31 approaches.

If you’re visiting specifically for Halloween, don’t assume you’ll be able to walk in on a busy October Saturday and immediately enter the haunted attraction.

What Should You Wear?

You don’t need full outdoor haunted-house gear for this one.

I’d go with:

• Comfortable shoes
• Jeans or comfortable pants
• T-shirt or sweatshirt
• Layers you can remove indoors

For the haunted attraction, wear shoes you can comfortably walk in.

This is not the night for heels.

If you’re going to be running away from something in the dark, dress accordingly.

Make It Part of Your Minnesota Halloween Bucket List

One thing I’ve noticed while putting together our Minnesota Halloween series is how many different kinds of Halloween experiences we actually have around the Twin Cities.

If you want terrifying, there’s Scream Town and The Abandoned Hayride.

If you want beautiful, there’s the Minnesota Zoo Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular.

If you want historic and spooky, there are haunted trolley tours and Spooky Swing Night at the Wabasha Street Caves.

And if you want a little bit of everything under one roof?

Nowhere Entertainment fits perfectly.

You can get scared.

Solve puzzles.

Play mini golf.

Hit the arcade.

And never once wander through a muddy cornfield.

That’s a win.

Is Nowhere Entertainment Worth Visiting?

If you’re looking for an unusual indoor activity around the Twin Cities, I’d put it on the list.

What makes Nowhere Entertainment interesting isn’t any one attraction.

It’s the combination.

A haunted attraction and miniature golf?

Sure.

Throw in escape rooms.

Add an arcade.

Give the whole place a spooky personality.

Now you’ve got somewhere that works for date night, teenagers, friend groups, birthdays and Halloween outings.

And unlike many Minnesota Halloween attractions, the fun doesn’t necessarily disappear when October ends.
