Pureology: Serious Color Care

I’ve been coloring my hair since college. That means I’ve been coloring my hair for 15 years! And that can cause damage, lots of damage. Every time you color your hair you are damaging it. I do it because I want to cover up gray hairs. Well, actually they are white. Typically, my family starts going gray in their teens. It’s just our genetics. So I’m never going to stop coloring my hair but I will look for personal care products that are going to help keep my hair healthy. Pureology has several different lines of hair care lines to help meet your needs. I’m using Pureology’s Precious Oil line.

Pureology Precious OilPureology’s Precious Oil line is designed to help repair brittle, dull color-treated hair. It’s also sulfate and silicone free. I love using beauty products that are healthier for me.

Since we are in the middle of winter my hair is taking a beating. Between the harsh arctic air and color treating my hair, it’s getting dry. But when I use Pureology’s Precious Oil products together I can tell the difference, the first time.

The first thing I noticed when I used the Precious Oil shampoo and conditioner was how easy it was to comb my hair out after washing it. The comb glided through. There was no need to tug or pull and my hair felt smooth. With some other shampoos and conditioners, my hair would feel like straw or would snark easily while combing it out.

Pureology Precious Oil Caring OIlWhile the bottles may look small, don’t let that fool you. These are concentrated products, a little goes a long way. With a quarter size amount of shampoo, I am able to wash my long hair. I can work up a nice lather and really feel like I’m cleaning my hair. I use a little conditioner, but I think because I am still repairing my hair I am probably using more now than I will after using this for a while. Personally, I like the size of the bottle. They are perfect for travel and do not take up much space.

You can find Pureology online or at Ulta. Be sure to take the hair consultation online to see which Pureology formula would work best for you.
