Say Goodbye Size 16

Nutrisystem DisclosureWell, I just finished week 3 on Nutrisystem. I’ll admit, it was hard to stay positive when I worked so hard the previous week and only went down 1 pound. But I stuck with it. I kept working the program. And guess what?? This week I’m down 3 pounds!! That’s 3 whole pounds of fat gone. It’s outta here! I also had another huge milestone this week, I got to say goodbye to size 16 and hello size 14! That’s right, 3 weeks on the program and I’m down 1 whole size.

My total lost to date is 9 pounds. Yes, it’s a lot but I never thought 9 pounds would be the difference between size 14 and size 16. But, it is. At least for me, it is. I carry a lot of my weight in my stomach.  That’s where all my extra weight goes. It’s the one part of my body I am extremely unhappy with. The majority of the weight I just lost came from my midsection and I know this because I had taken measurements before I started Nutrisystem and then again this weekend. I’ve lost 7 inches in my waist! 7 inches!!! No wonder I went down a pant size.

I think journaling everything I eat and drink into the NUMI app really keeps me on track. I think twice about making a poor choice before I log it. When I look up the calories and see how much I am going to use on certain food items it makes me think twice and I reach for something else. I am also using my Fitbit to keep track of being active. I’m a single mom, working full-time outside of the home as well as working on this blog. It’s easy for me to lose track of my own activity levels and not realize I haven’t moved in 3 or 4 hours away from the computer. My Fitbit helps me be conscientious of my movement or lack of movement.

This week was crazy. Peyton was super busy with school and I was busy at my day job. I even carved out time to go on a field trip with Peyton and her class to a nature reserve. However, I stayed on track all week! The great thing about Nutrisystem is they make it easy to take it with you. The day of the field trip I packed myself a Fudge Graham Bar for lunch along with a whole container of cherry tomatoes. I also brought along a refillable water bottle and some nuts. I wasn’t sure how long this trip was going to last but I came prepared. That is the key. Be prepared.

Nutrisystem has so many options for mealtime and snacks that you can take it with you anywhere. And if you want to go out to eat, they’ll help you make a healthy choice. They teach you about portion control, nutrition and moderation. Nothing is off limits on Nutrisystem. You can have whatever you desire as long as it’s in moderation. I really like this. Sometimes, a girl just needs a piece of chocolate. And that’s ok.

We’re starting week 4 and I am so excited for this week! This is the week I’m going to break that 10-pound mark. Mark my words. This time next week I will have lost a total of 10 pounds. And I promise I’ll try to share some food pics this week. I know you all love them. But last week, this momma was on the go. I barely had time to eat let alone take a picture of it! This week, things are calming down. So be prepared for some low cal, high protein food recipes by the weekend!

If you are ready to start your weight loss journey, sign up! It’s easy. You can sign up with Nutrisystem from the comfort of home. Everything is done online. And did I mention, the food is delicious! Even Peyton has had a few nibbles and she loves it too.
