Fall is my favorite time of year. I love the cooler temperatures, the leaves changing colors and seeing all the Halloween decorations around town. Our front steps have already been decorated for a week and now we are starting to make fun fall treats and eats to bring fall fully into our home. These spooky vampire donuts are a fun snack or treat to make for the kids.
Perfect for Saturday morning cartoons or a Halloween party at school, these Spooky Vampire Donuts are quick and easy to make.
You will need the following –
Donuts
Frosting
Wilton Candy Eyes
Vampire Fangs
Few tips – buy the full-size donuts. You can purchase all one flavor or a variety box like I did. You can find the vampire fangs online or at your local retailer, often the dollar store has them for sale too.
This is a great project to have the kids help since there is no baking involved it’s an activity you can supervise.
First, arrange your eyes and fangs on the counter.
Next, lay the donuts out, flat so you can assemble your vampires.
It’s easiest to insert the fangs into the center of the donuts before adding the eyes. Once the donuts have the fangs inserted it’s time to add some eyes.
Use the frosting like you would use a glue stick and attach the eyes to your donuts.
Let the frosting set up and you are ready to display or enjoy your Spooky Vampire Donuts!
This is a quick and simple project that would be perfect for Halloween parties in the classroom or even a project you can have the kids do while they are waiting to go trick or treating.
