There are a lot of new games on the market right now that are a ton of family fun. One of them is Squawk: The Egg-Splosive Chicken Game. And let me tell you, little ones love it! Peyton saw it at Toy Fair in Chicago and couldn’t get enough. I had to pry her away from the table. Little did she know that we had one waiting for her at home!
Squawk is just what it sounds like. You will hear a chicken squawking throughout the game. So the goal of the game is to see who can get the chicken to egg-splosive. Because when the chicken pops and the egg comes out.
In order to get the chicken to pop you need to press down on its chest. You’ll do this by rolling the dice, this will give you the number of times you have to press down on the chicken. And each time you press on the chicken it’ll make that squawking noise.
The person who gets the chicken to pop gets to open the egg, and if the piece inside the egg falls yolk side up they earn a point. It takes 3 points to win the game and you keep track of the points with plastic chips with chicks on them.
Unfortunately, this game is only for 2 players but you could play with more if you played as teams instead of individual players. And I will warn you this game is loud. The chicken squawk reminds me of a dog squeaky toy so be mindful, if you have a dog it may work them up thinking they are being left out of the game.
Squawk is suggested for ages 4 years old and older. It is a family-friendly game that is fun for the whole family. Well, maybe not fun for the family dog but everyone else will have fun!
You can pick up Squawk at your local retailer or online.
