What kid doesn’t like a soft, squishy plush toys to snuggle with? I know Peyton loves them. She has plushies all over our house and takes them everywhere she does. Even at 7 years old we have them in the car, living room and everywhere else she hangs out. Squishmallows are these adorable plushies made with super soft marshmallow-like texture and polyester.
Did I mention they are machine washable? That’s right mom and dad, you can toss these in the washing machine, I’d use the delicate cycle, and clean them. Spilled milk, no problem. Sick kid, no worries. Whenever your Squishmallow gets a little funky just toss it in the wash! I couldn’t believe how excited I got when I read that sentence. I don’t know how many plushes we have thrown away over the years because we could not wash them or when we did they fell apart. You won’t have that problem with Squishmallows.
Another thing I love about Squishmallows is that they double as a pillow! Since they have various sizes, you can use the larger sizes for kids to rest their heads on at movie theaters, while watching tv, on road trips or when traveling and basically anytime they need a pillow but you don’t have one. As a mom who has to carry a lot of crap around with her I love it when an item can have more than one purpose. The Squishmallows can be your child’s stuffed animal as well as a pillow.
Squishmallows come in 4 sizes – I call them X-large (16 inches), Large (13 inch), Medium (8 inch) and Small (keychain size). Peyton loves using the x-large size as pillows and snuggles with the large. She carries around the medium and has a few of those small hooked on her backpack. They are a hit with her and all her friends.
You can find Squishmallows at your local Walgreens or online. They’ve just recently arrived on the scene, end of 2017, but I bet you’ll soon be seeing these everywhere you go!
