State Fair Giant Marshmallow Trix Treats

Our last giant marshmallow treat was such a hit I decided to make another one. This time, Peyton and I headed to the grocery store and looked for a fun cereal to use. And we came home with……..Trix Trolls World Tour with Marshmallows cereal! Trolls World Tour was a big deal in our home when it came out. I think Peyton watched it over a dozen times the first weekend.  So we decided we wanted to try this cereal and turn it into a giant marshmallow treat!

Marshmallow Trix TreatsTo make these at home you will need the following –

1 stick of Butter, unsalted
1 bag Mini Marshmallows
6-8 C Trix Trolls World Tour with Marshmallows cereal

To make giant treats you’ll need a loaf pan. This recipe makes 2 giant bars or you can use a larger pan and make bars that are not as thick.

Spray the pan you are going to put the treats in with a light coating of olive oil or cooking spray and set aside.

In a large pot, melt the butter over low to medium heat.

Add the marshmallows, continue to heat over low, stirring frequently until the marshmallows are smooth.

Next, stir in the cereal a few cups at a time until you have a nice evenly coated cereal.

Scoop the marshmallow covered Lucky Charms cereal into the lightly greased loaf pan.  Be sure to press the cereal down so there are no air pockets.

Marshmallow Trix TreatsLet the cereal cool in the pan.

Once the bars are cooled, slice into two bars. Now you have 2 giant marshmallow Trix Trolls World Tour with Marshmallows treats!

If you are not enjoying them immediately, wrap them in saran wrap, place in a gallon-size baggie or airtight container.

Marshmallow Trix TreatsDon’t forget to check back tomorrow to see what Minnesota State Fair inspired food we are making. Also, be sure to check out our other state fair recipes.
