The Key To Youth

We all want a youthful appearance, and if you read on, you will discover more about the approaches we are taking to achieve this…

Botox treatment may be something you are interested in to achieve a youthful look. More and more people are doing so. However, you may be a bit unsure regarding what it entails and whom it is beneficial for. After all, a lot of people get botox and fillers confused.

Botox involves the use of botulinum toxin, which is a natural, purified protein. It is injected into the skin to temporarily relax the facial muscles that create wrinkles and lines, creating a more youthful appearance. This type of treatment can also treat a number of medical conditions, including hyperhidrosis, i.e. excessive sweating.

So, who should consider visiting a botox clinic? This treatment is actually suitable for a broad range of patients. Most people opt for botox for the purpose of reducing wrinkles and fine lines. Skin rejuvenation is achieved by injecting botox strategically around the face. It can improve the appearance of crow’s feet lines when it is injected into the area around the side of the eyes. It can also improve frown lines between the brows. Botox prices will depend on the area that is being treated, as well as the clinic you choose. This is something that will be discussed with you during your consultation.

You should not have botox if you have muscle complaints or damaged nerves. Disclose all medical information during your consultation to ensure that there are not any complications. An experienced dermatologist will also be able to tell you whether you are a good candidate for Botox or whether another treatment would be better.

What to expect

It is vital to choose a qualified doctor with plenty of experience. This is definitely not a decision to be rushed. The doctor should schedule a consultation with you where he or she will carry out an evaluation in preparation for the treatment, and answer any queries you may have. But, what about the treatment itself? What should you expect? One of the main concerns people have when visiting a botox clinic is whether it will hurt.

As botox involves a bunch of small injections spaced between your brows and around your forehead, you can expect some to cause a bit of discomfort, whereas others won’t hurt at all. You aren’t going to be in excruciating pain, and each injection is over within seconds. What about downtime? The good thing is that there isn’t much of it at all. Botox clinics will generally discourage you from lying down for around four hours after the treatment. For the next couple of days, avoid massaging the area with moisturizer and don’t go for a facial. Apart from that, you are free to go about your day-to-day life as you did before.

One of the great things about this type of treatment is that you will see results really quickly. You should see a difference within a week.

Read reviews

Clinic reviews are worth their weight in gold when you are looking for the best clinic for any type of treatment. When considering a clinic, it is important to take the time to read as many reviews as possible, especially from those that have had the treatment you want. These people were once in your position, feeling exactly how you are feeling now. They will know the questions you want answered, and they will provide an honest assessment. What happens before the treatment? Were the team nice? Did the surgeon make you feel at ease? The only way to get answers to these questions is by reading customer feedback.

You can usually find clinic reviews on the clinic’s website, yet it is also a good idea to look on independent review platforms as well. By doing this, you will know that the company has not simply decided to show you the good feedback they have received, and hidden the bad feedback. Aside from this, you should assess the surgeon’s credentials. Make sure they have received all of the necessary qualifications and that they are registered. As a minimum, the surgeon needs to be registered with the GMC. They also need to be fully insured. You can conduct extensive research online, and your consultation will be very telling.

If you don’t feel comfortable after the consultation, choose somewhere else. It is important that you are confident in the surgeon and their team.
