Trolls World Tour Marshmallow Popcorn Treats

Chances are if you have an elementary-age child or younger in the house you are very aware of the Trolls movie.  This spring Trolls World Tour came out and now it’ll be available on DVD, Blu-Ray, 4K, and digital July 7th. Because Peyton loves Trolls I decided to make her a special Trolls treat to enjoy watching Trolls World Tour.

These colorful marshmallow treats are fun to make and the kids can help make them too!

To make your own batch or Trolls World Tour Marshmallow Popcorn treats you will need the following –

3 tbsp Butter
1 bag Miniature Marshmallows (10 oz bag)
8-10 cups of Popped Popcorn
Colorful Sprinkles
Pink Cotton Candy
Purple Cotton Candy
Orange Cotton Candy
Blue Cotton Candy
Pink Chocolate Melting Wafers
Blue Chocolate Melting Wafers
Medium Bundt Pan

We did make our own cotton candy in our Nostalgia Cotton Candy machine. I took about 2 scoops of each flavor to make the various colors and have enough for the marshmallow popcorn cakes and enough for the kids to enjoy.  I made the cotton candy first and then set it aside.

Next pop your popcorn. I used our air popper and popped about 1/2 cup of kernels and set aside.

In a large, non-stick, stockpot melt the butter over medium heat.

Once the butter is melted add in the whole bag of marshmallows. Leave the heat on medium, stir the marshmallows continuously until they are melted.

Remove from the stove and stir in the popcorn.

Gently fold in the colorful sprinkles.

Spray your bundt pan with vegetable oil spray.

Press the marshmallow popcorn mixture into the bundt pan and let sit for about 10 minutes.

Remove the popcorn cakes from the pan and place on wax paper.

Take a sandwich bag and place about 1/4 c of pink wafers inside. Microwave in 30-second intervals until they are melted. Repeat with the blue wafers.

Snip a small corner on each of the sandwich bags and drizzle the chocolate over the popcorn cakes.

Place some of the cotton candy in the middle of each cake while the chocolate is fresh. This will help hold the cotton candy in place.

These treats are best served at room temperature. You can make them a little ahead of time but no more than a day because of the cotton candy. If it’s hot or humid the cotton candy will shrink.

Trolls World Tour comes out July 7th. Be sure to pick up your copy.
