If you haven’t already noticed we are a Disney family! A very enthusiastic Disney family. So when I heard there was a new CD coming out featuring the amazing songs from classics like The Little Mermaid, Cinderella, Aladdin, Mary Poppins and more being sung by super stars like Ne Yo, Gwen Stefani, Ariana Grande, Tori Kelly and more I just had to get in on it. Now this music is not the same as you will hear when watching the movie, each artist has changed it up and made it into a beautiful ballet that will move you while you listen to it.
So I bet you are curious as to what songs are included in this cd? Will here’s a list:
Friend Like Me (Aladdin) performed by Ne Yo
Part of Your World (The Little Mermaid) performed by Jessie J
Can You Feel the Love Tonight (The Lion King) performed by Jason Derulo
Rainbow Connection (The Muppet Movie) performed by Gwen Stefani
Zero to Hero (Hercules) performed by Ariana Grande
In A World of My Own (Alice in Wonderland) performed by Jhené Aiko
I Wan’na Be Like You (The Jungle Book) performed by Fall Out Boy
Colors of the Wind (Pocahontas) performed by Tori Kelly
A Spoonful of Sugar (Mary Poppins) performed by Kasey Musgraves
Ev’rybody Want to be a Cat (The Aristocats) performed by Charles Perry
A Dream is Wish Your Heart Makes (Cinderella) performed by Jessie Ware
Let it Go (Frozen) performed by Rascal Flatts and Lucy Hale
It’s a Small World performed by all artist on the album
What a line up! If you are a Disney nerd this is a must have album. We are currently planning a vacation to Disney World for next year and I LOVE listening to this album while I am researching our trip. And I’m sure it’ll be on during our holiday get togethers. Though majority of the songs are from animated movies geared towards children each artist has taken the songs and made them into a more grown up and sophisticated sound without losing the Disney magic in each song.
Here’s a little sneak peak of what I mean. I LOVE how Ne Yo has interpreted Friend Like Me from Aladdin. It went from being a catchy kid song to a grown up version without losing any of the Disney magic.
