Jeep is an iconic, rugged vehicle that is loved by many. 2020 is the year Jeep made was big changes and switched things up a little. Today we are going to recap what’s new with Jeep for 2020.
Jeep Gladiator
This is extremely excited for Jeep lovers. They’ve been waiting for this since the retirement of the Commanche in 1992. Jeep brought back the pick-up truck feel with the Gladiator in 2020. They’ll be entering the mid-size truck market and taking it by storm this spring. But what’s really exciting is that the Gladiator gets the same set of removable soft and hard tops, doors, and a folding windshield that Jeep is known for.
The Gladiator is available with either a standard six-speed manual or an optional eight-speed automatic. The base model will sport a 3.6L V6 engine while later this year an optional 3.0L turbo-diesel V6 will be available.
Overall, the Gladiator is an impressive new launch for Jeep.
Jeep Wrangler Plug-In Hybrid
Jeep is going all-in with the Wrangler plug-in hybrid that will be coming out later this year. I’m excited to see if this is at the Chicago Auto Show in February. It would be amazing to get up close and see what all is going to be offered for features. But if the hybrid is not your thing, fear not, the Wrangler will be offered as well.
2020 is going to be an exciting year for Jeep. With various models and engine sizes rolling out through the spring and mid-year, you are going to want to keep checking in with your local dealer to see what’s in stock.
Jeep is killing it in the market, bringing in new buyers every year and increasing sales. With these major debuts coming out in 2020 it’ll be fun to sit back and watch. I’m excited to see the Gladiator up close and maybe even take it for a spin. The look fo a Jeep with the towing capacity of a truck, perfect!
