I’ve driven a lot of cars. I’ve owned many different vehicles over the years but so far, my favorite car has been my Dodge Journey. It wasn’t the SUV that I thought I was going to bring home. But 6 years ago, I went to my local dealership to test drive a Jeep. I had done my research and I thought I really wanted a Jeep. I was determined I was going to be bringing home a Jeep. But once I got behind the wheel I quickly came to realize I did not like the Jeep. I did not like the Jeep at all!
So now what? My current vehicle was a Saturn ION and it was way too small for Peyton and I. I couldn’t get her stroller, car seat, diaper bag and my own things in without cramming it all in there. And then no one else could be in our car with us. I did not like that one bit. I hated taking two cars everywhere if we wanted to do things with other family members.
My sales person suggested I try the Dodge Journey. I hadn’t planned on buying a Dodge so I had not done any research on it. But I thought, what the heck, I’m here so why not give it a test drive. And I am so glad I did!
I instantly fell in love with the Dodge Journey. The smooth ride, sitting up higher so I can see the road better than in my ION, satellite radio and so many more features had me hooked. But the true test was if I could place Peyton’s stroller, car seat, diaper bag and still have plenty of room in the car. So we drove back to the dealership and I took Peyton’s car seat out of my vehicle and placed it in. There was plenty of room! The front seat did not have to be pushed all the way to the dash so another person could easily ride in the front seat with me. Plus the trunk was plenty big for a stroller.
That day, I ended up bringing home a Dodge Journey and I am so glad I did. It’s been 6 years since I purchased my first Dodge Journey. Now I am on my third Journey and I don’t know if I’ll ever change. If you are looking for a family car that is comfortable yet has some power, check out the Dodge Journey. I’m so glad I did.
