Why You Should Visit Chicago

Chicago has always been a staple in media, whether it be movies, musicals, or TV shows, it pops up often as a setting. More than that though, it has a lot to offer to tourists too! You’ll find that within this beautiful city, there are many many beautiful views and many of which can be great places to spend the day. Even without having specific locations in mind, there’s plenty to be seen from within the city, and the skyscrapers can be stunning from the ground.

Great accommodation

First of all, you’re going to need somewhere to stay, and you won’t be short on options in Chicago. Whether you’re looking for Chicago hotels with an in-room spa or bath, or something a little more mid-range, there’s plenty to choose from! While the main goal isn’t to spend your whole time in a hotel, it definitely compliments a trip to have great accommodation while you’re there!

The Art Institute of Chicago

If you love museums, then the Art Institute of Chicago is a must-see location! There you’ll see thousands of different artworks, enough to amaze anyone! It even has some of the more famous pieces such as A Sunday on La Grande Jatte by Georges Seurat, or The Old Guitarist by Picasso. For any art enthusiasts, this is a place you simply cannot miss!

Lincoln Park

Lincoln Park is Chicago’s biggest park, and it spans Lake Michigan. If you’re looking for the perfect place to spend the day out with the family, or even alone, Lincoln Park is the perfect place for jogging, picnicking, bike rides, or simply just going to feel the outside air! For many residents, this park is the number one place to get out and about for a bit, and you’ll see exactly why after visiting it!

Michigan Avenue

Michigan Avenue or The Magnificent Mile is a beautiful stretch, night and day. It has all you could want, whether that’s shopping, galleries, or just sightseeing! If you’re staying in Chicago, you should take the time to pay it a visit, night or day!

Millennium Park

Millennium Park is something that you’ll most likely be familiar with, if not by name, then the famous sculpture that’s featured there! While some people have referred to it as a “bean”, it’s actually called the Cloud Gate, and it’s a large shapeless mirror-like object that was inspired by liquid mercury! It’s quite an incredible sight to see, and definitely worth a look if you’re going to visit Millennium Park!

Navy Pier

The Navy Pier is a relic of the past, preserved to be functional to this day! It’s a beautiful pier that was originally an amusement park in the early 1900s. Now being a popular tourist attraction, the pier features gardens, shops, and restaurants, as if it was made just for you to go and visit it!

Chicago features many unique sites for you to go and visit, and you’ll find the experience to be like no other!
