Francois et Mimi Vintage Double Wall French Press in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion I agree. I thought the French press looked classy and beautiful and would add a touch of class to my dinner parties.
If you find yourself frustrated with your French press then something probably is not being done right. French presses make amazing coffee that is full of flavor. The first place I look to when things are not going right is the grind size. Do not try to use ground coffee from the grocery store. It’s too fine. Go to a coffee shop and tell them what you are using the beans for and they will grind it for you. It needs to be a tad coarse or else the filter won’t be able to stop the grounds from getting in the coffee.
Once I’ve gone and acquired my grounds the next thing is make sure you are using boiling water. Otherwise you are not going to brew the flavor out of the coffee grounds. Play around with the time you use to let the coffee seep. Everyone has a personal preference for strength so it may take a few tries to find yours. Once you have found the time frame and feel comfortable using the French press you won’t go back to drip brew. French pressed coffee is so much better.
I really like using the Francois et Mimi vintage double wall French press because of it’s looks and size. It just looks classy. Whenever I have guest over and I bring it out everyone oohs and aahs over it. Also the double wall helps to keep it hot longer than glass French presses. I feel this is an impressive French press and it works very well. My only complaint is sometimes it squeels when pressing down the handle to press the coffee of when trying to get the press apart for cleaning. The sound of metal on metal can make me cringe. But other than that I love it.
