5 Gift Ideas for Young Adults

Holidays are nearly here and we are all rushing around and trying to find the best holiday gifts for our loved ones.  If you have a teen or twenty-something that loves to drive or loves the freedom to go where the open road takes them I have some gift ideas for you. Because, let’s face it, some are harder to shop for than others and sometimes those teens can be really hard to shop for. But I have 5 gift ideas that will fit any budget to help you cross a few people off your holiday list.

Gift Cards

I know a gift card may not sound exciting but to a broke teen, this is an awesome gift. I like the idea of giving a gift card because you can tailor it to your budget and still gift something the recipient needs. You can get a gift card to the local gas station, this one will be a huge hit. Filling up your car with gas can get expensive and with the sometimes wild price swings, it can be difficult for a teen to have enough money to fill up that gas tank. Or a gift card to their local dealership is another great idea. Every car needs routine maintenance like oil changes, tire rotations, etc….But for a young adult to have the funds to stay on top of those maintenance items it can be difficult. You can also check with your local dealership and see if they have oil change packages, that would be a gift that keeps giving all year long!

Car Seat Covers

Remember when you got your first car and the hip thing to do was get funky car seat covers to express your personality?? I do! I remember I had these plush leopard print seat covers when those wore out I got snow leopard ones next. Even though my first car was like 14 years old I felt like I had a new ride because of my awesome seat covers. Plus, all my friends thought they were so cool. I definitely had one of the more fun and decorated cars in youth.  If you have a VSCO girl in your life you cannot go wrong with a turtle seat cover, it’s all about save the turtles! sksksksksk

Car Wash Kit

When I was younger I didn’t have the funds to go to the car wash so I would spend nearly every weekend hand washing my car. If someone would’ve gifted me a deluxe a car wash kit with everything I needed to keep my car in tip-top shape I would have been over the moon.  If you can’t find a kit, make one yourself! Find a nice size bucket and fill it with a quality car wash, wax, interior cleaner, and all the rags and sponges too. You can even toss in a few detail brushes, air fresheners or even wiper blades to make it a complete kit.

Travel Mugs

Young adults love their coffee and smoothie shops but that can be expensive over time. How about gifting them a travel mug or cup from their favorite coffee or smoothie shop and place a gift card from there inside. Bonus to doing this is now they are helping the environment because they are using a reusable mug but they will usually get a discount on their drink orders if they bring their own mug! It’s a win-win!!

Car Accessories

This one can be fun too. Get a shoebox or another box and fill it with items for their car. Think of items like a car charger for their cell phone or tablet. How about a cell phone mount so they can mount their cell phone on the dash – this is great for young adults that use the GPS on their phones. You can also add in some gum that is designed to fit in the cup holder, may some cup coasters, air fresheners, and other small items.

These are a few gift ideas for the young adults on your holiday list.  Be sure to check out our full holiday gift guides for more ideas.
