Little ones love to listen to stories. Plus reading to your child is a wonderful way to increase their vocabulary. Peyton is fascinated by God and likes to hear the bible stories. But reading the actual bible to her can be a dry read or sometimes a tad too graphic. That’s where 5-Minute Nighttime Bible Stories comes in.
5-Minute Nighttime Bible Stories is filled with the stories of the bible but brought down to a child’s level. For example, when reading about Noah’s Ark the focus is on how 2 of each animal must be on the ark, about everyone working together to build the ark and about how they found dry land after the rains. The story focuses on the positive and light-hearted aspects of Noah’s Ark.
There are also beautiful illustrations for each story. The animals are lively, colorful and animated. The illustrations draw a child into the story and help tell the story.
I found 5-Minutes Nighttime Bible Stories to be a great way to introduce my daughter to the stories of the bible. It’s on her level. The language, illustrations and stories told are simple, a young child can easily understand the message that is being told. Sometimes I feel the bible can be a tad dark and scary but you won’t find that here.
If you are looking for a way to introduce your child to God, 5-Minutes Nighttime Bible Stories is a good way to go about it. In my opinion, it draws a child into the story, the child listens, asks questions and wants to know more. When your child is little, this book is a good way to introduce your child to God. When you child is a little older, these are good stories to use as a starting point for having a discussion with your child.
