A Guide To Throwing An Awesome Family Party

Throwing an awesome family party gives you an occasion to look back on and talk about for years to come. Getting all of your favorite people together in one place and having an amazing time makes for the best memories! Here, we’re going to talk about how you can throw an awesome family party. Whether it’s a special family member’s birthday, anniversary, or you’re celebrating your child’s exam results, the ideas below will help you. Take a look and start planning yours!

Family Party 50s themeCome Up With A Theme

Coming up with a theme will give your party more of an exciting feel – you could even get your family to dress up to suit the theme! Ideas include eras gone by such as the 50s or 60s, TV show themes, wildlife, or something else that you think suits the occasion. You don’t have to spend a fortune on the theme if you want this party to be small and intimate. A few key pieces will add to the fun and make your party look great!

Have Activities The Kids Will Love

You’ll likely have kids at your family party, so make sure you have activities that they will all love. Ideally, you’ll choose activities that lots of them can play at the same time – you don’t want any kids left out. You could go for a game like Monopoly, Twister, water limbo, or pass the parcel. It all depends on age and what you think they will enjoy. You could always ask them for suggestions beforehand to see what they would like to play. Probably better to avoid the computer games and video games to keep them involved in the party!

Choose The Right Venue

Will you have the family party in your house, a pub, or another venue? House parties with the family can be a lot of fun. You could create a great set up in the garden, and as long as you have a fire pit and the right lighting it could go well into the night.

Take Your Time Choosing The Right Entertainment

What sort of entertainment will you have for the party? Good music is always a must! Whether you connect your phone to a good speaker or go for a band for more of a special occasion from a place like https://www.alivenetwork.com/hirelivemusic/wedding_bands_in.asp?area=Kent, make sure it’s the sort of music you and your family are going to want to listen to all night.

Make Food That’ll Please Everyone

It wouldn’t be a family party without food, but how can you make food that will please everyone? Good old finger food and mini dishes, such as mini fish and chips are a great idea. A three course meal might seem more luxurious, but it’s difficult to please kids this way. Find a caterer that will put together food both kids and adults can enjoy at their own leisure.

Throwing your family party should be a lot of fun providing you use the advice here. Tips of your own? Leave them below!
