When I was approached to review Abigail and the North Pole Adventure by Tali Carmi I just had to say yes. My daughter loves the other two we have read so I knew she would want to read this
one too. When we catch up with Abigail she is at home waiting for her grandparents to come for a visit. But when they arrive Abigail finds out they have brought the magical bike and book with them! She can barely contain herself while she waits for the adults to get focused on something else so she can pick a place to go on an adventure to. When she is finally alone she looks over the book and decides she wants to go to a place with icebergs, the north pole.
Abigail hops on the bike and says her magic words and before she knows it she is at the north pole where she meets Siko. Siko teaches Abigail about igloos, ice fishing and polar bears. When it’s time for diner Abigail decides it’s time to go home. But not before Siko’s mom hands her a pair of gloves. So Abigail returns from her adventure with a new pair of warm gloves. Grandma thinks Abigail is making up stores. But Grandpa knows the truth and just winks at Abigail.
This was another great book by Tali Carmi. My daughter really enjoys reading them and looking at the illustrations. Our only wish is they would be in prints because they would make an amazing addition to our collection and would be so much fun to bring to school and show and share day.
