Valentine’s Hand Pies

Hand pies are one of the easiest desserts to make. They are quick, simple, and take just a few minutes. These air fryer heart hand pies are perfect for Valentine’s Day too! And they are so simple the kids can help you make them too.  These hand pies did use cherry pie filling but you can use any pie filling that you would like. So if you prefer blueberry, pick up a can of blueberry pie filling instead.

air fryer heart hand piesYou will need the following to make these air fryer heart hand pies –

Ready-made pie crust
1 can Pie Filling
1 Egg

First, preheat your air fryer to 375F degrees

air fryer heart hand piesNext, roll out the pie crust on a clean surface with a little bit of flour and a rolling pin

Take a heart-shaped cookie cutter and cut out hearts from the pie crust

Separate the pie crusts into 2 piles

Lay one pile of heart-shaped pie crusts flat

Spoon a teaspoon of the pie filling in the center of the heart

Place a second heart on top of the pie filled heart

Press the edges together with a fork

Crack the egg into a bowl and mix well

Lightly brush each heart hand pie with the egg wash

Place in the air fryer basket in a single layer and back for 5-8 minutes at 375F

These quick very fast and each air fryer is different. Stay close and watch the first batch until you know how long it takes for them to turn golden brown

Remove them from the air fryer and enjoy!

Heart Shaped Hand Pies

These hand pies and quick and easy. A great dessert for Valentine's Day
