School is in full swing. I swear we are constantly running from one activity or another. And we just had conferences! I cannot believe we are already halfway through the first semester. And the busier we get the more organized I need to be to make our house run smoothly. One point of stress and contention in the morning is finding shoes to put on so we can head out the door. On time. A shoe rack or station would really help our mornings run smoother. But it has to look nice too. That’s why I’m using the bamboo shoe organizer in our entryway now.
Why did I choose this organizer? It looks nice, that was a big reason. I wanted something that looked pleasing to the eye when you first entered the house. Secondly, it’s made from bamboo, a renewable and sturdy resource. Bonus is it was delivered to my doorstep so I didn’t even have to head to the store!
Putting together the bamboo shoe organizer took me about 15 minutes, just like the directions said it would. It was fairly easy, you just cannot rush it. Putting the legs on the seat was the hardest part. But once those were attached putting the two shelves on were fairly simple. There are a total of 24 screws that need to be put on. 8 use washers to hold them in place and the other 16 are wood screws that screw directly into the bamboo.
Once it’s put together, you just have to find a place to keep it. We are keeping ours by the front door so that we can keep our most frequently worn shoes on the rack. In the little storage area, I am going to store extra shoelaces. We have a cat that likes to chew shoelaces so we always need to keep a few pairs on hand.
So if you have a busy family like mine, think through your morning routine and see what you can do to make it run more smoothly and be less stressful. It may be that you need a little shoe organization in your morning routine too.
