With the holidays approaching fast I have been looking for ways to spruce up our house. It’s been a year since our last painting project and I’m getting pretty bored with the colors around the house. Lately, when I’m watching television I have noticed that my attention is going to what color the walls are and what type of trim is in the room rather than what the characters are doing on the show. So when Bzzagent offered a mission that involved painting a room of my choice I jumped on it!
I love to paint. Rarely do I ever hire someone to paint for me. I find it relaxing and I also enjoy the since of satisfaction I get from finishing a room top to bottom by myself. For this project I had chosen the bathroom. It was the only room in the house that we have not painted except the laundry room. I have just been drawn to blues lately. They seem to be all the rage. I have noticed that a lot of the shows on television have blue walls with lots of white trim and moldings. Well I was not going to add any molding our bathroom but we already had the white trim! So blue was what was going up on the walls. Now we just had to decide which shade!
I prepped my bathroom like I normally would. Cleaned off the corners and all the trim. Taped the painters tape to any exposed services I didn’t want painted and started to paint! The first thing I noticed was how easy it was to mix the paint. It had only been a day since I went and purchased the paint but I still wanted to mix it up a little just to make sure none had separate. It also poured very nicely into our trough. No splashes. And the application process was a breeze! There were no clumps and it glided right onto the wall. One gallon was more than enough to do our bathroom. And I was able to cover it in one coat. I’ve painted with numerous different brands over the years but I can honestly say Benjamin Moore Aura Waterborne Interior paint was one of the highest quality products I have ever used. I loved how it went on. There were no little dried chunks or anything. Just smooth application every time. I highly recommended this paint for everyone. It was simple, went on smooth and covered in one coat. And the color palate selection was amazing!
Bzzagent did supply me with a can of Benjamin Moore Aura Waterborne Interior Paint in the color of my choosing. However, all feelings expressed are my own and they were not influenced by Bzzagent or anyone else.
