Looking for the perfect bite-sized appetizer for your next party? These Mini Taco Salad Bites are always a crowd favorite! They’re loaded with all the delicious flavors of a classic taco salad but served in individual, grab-and-go portions that are perfect for entertaining.
Whether you’re hosting a football watch party, holiday gathering, birthday celebration, baby shower, or even a fun tea party for kids, these little taco cups are as cute as they are delicious. Guests can easily grab one while mingling, making them one of my favorite appetizers for game day and potlucks.
One of the best things about this recipe is how versatile it is. You can prepare a tray of fully assembled taco bites ahead of time for an easy, stress-free appetizer, or set up a mini taco salad bar and let everyone customize their own with their favorite toppings. Both options are fun, simple, and guaranteed to disappear fast!
If you’re looking for an easy appetizer that’s colorful, flavorful, and always a hit with both kids and adults, these Mini Taco Salad Bites deserve a spot on your party menu. They’re the perfect combination of crunchy, fresh, and satisfying in every single bite.
To make some bite size taco salad you will need the following –
Wonton Wrappers (found in the produce area of the grocery store usually)
Cooking Spray
Taco Meat
Mexican Cheese, shredded
Lettuce, shredded
Guacamole
Pico
Sour Cream
Black Olives
Muffin Pan
You will need a muffin pan for this recipe. If you do not have one you can order it off Amazon or find it at your local big-box retailer.
First, preheat your oven to 350F and move the rack to the middle position.
Next, place a wonton wrapper into the muffin pan like it is a muffin liner. Push it down so the side go up and the bottom is flat.
Spray the wonton wrappers with the cooking spray.
Bake for about 5 minutes, you want them to be browned a little bit.
While those are cooling, make the taco meat! I have a great taco meat recipe that I use.
Once the wonton shells are cool you can start assembling your bite size taco salads.
Scoop the meat into the shell.
Top with your preferred cheese, then lettuce, pico, sour cream, and I like to add a little black olive on top.
Enjoy!
These are always a hit when I make them and there are never leftovers. So be prepared. Make a lot of shells. The shells can be made ahead of time and stored in an air-tight container.
