To a little kid outer space is a mystery adventure. With shows like Miles from Tomorrowland they make outer space sound like a mystical far off place full of friendly aliens and charming planets. What better way to embrace a child’s imagination and help them reach outer space than with a FiveJoy Teepee with a Spaceship theme. We are LOVING our spaceship! As a parent I’m loving FiveJoy Teepee for it’s simplicity. I was able to put together the teepee by myself in about 10 minutes or so. The hardest part was trying to thread the wooden poles through the canvas. It probably would have gone faster if I had another adult to help hold the canvas straight while I pushed the pole through. Then all I had to do was thread the rope through the hole in each pole and tie them together. This helps keep the poles together and from slipping. I also like that when we are done playing in our spaceship I can collapse the teepee in seconds and place it in the corner, taking up virtually no room at all.Peyton loves the teepee because she feels like she is Loretta from Miles from Tomorrowland and she’s blasting into outer space with her space dog, Finnegan. There’s plenty of room for those two to be in the tent and pretend to be cruising around outer space looking for aliens and new planets to discover. Even I can fit inside the teepee with Peyton too! When the teepee is all closed up there’s a little mesh window to look out. Peyton is just in love with her teepee. So far we’ve only been able to play with our space ship inside the house but give us a few more weeks and we are heading outside. Because the bottom of the teepee does not touch the ground I am fine with placing it outside on our patio. This is by far going to be our favorite outside toy for the summer. I can see Peyton using it like a little cabana by our pool.

How kids love tents and forts and spaceships! I love seeing this kind of old-school play , instead of being hooked to some technology or another.

That’s so cool! It reminds me of the blanket forts I used to build with my sister both in indoors and out when we will growing up. Such great memories!

That’s cute as can be. My son has a teepee tent that is similar and he loves it. 🙂

I love a teepee for kids. They give them hours of creative joy and take up little room in a home. I love the photos you shared too.
