So earlier this month Vampirina hit the screen on Disney Jr. But did you know it was first a book? I didn’t. But now I really want to go out and pick up the books for Peyton to read! I’m not sure how much of the show is based on the books but I think it would be fun to read and find out. Anyways, today I’m here to let you all know that Vampirina and her first 8 stories (4 episodes) is included on the DVD!
Each Vampirinaepisodee lasts about 22 minutes and includes two stories. These were originally aired the first week or so of October on Disney and Disney Jr. I know Peyton sat and watched them all on her iPad when they were released. You’ll see the following stories on the new release –
Going Batty / Scare B&B
The Sleepover / Portrait of a Vampire
Vee’s Surprise Party / Vee Goes Viral
The Plant Predicament / Mummy Mayhem
This is released just in time for Halloween! Just think of how much fun the littles can have watching Vampirina while they get ready to go out and trick and treat around the neighborhood!
I really enjoy listening to Vampirina while Peyton is watching it. It’s a wholesome show about a little vampire girl that moves into a town where there are not other vampires. Vamprinia is just a girl that wants to fit in even though she knows she is different. Her family moved from Transylvania to Pennsylvania to open a new business. A bed and breakfast. A scare bed and breakfast to be exact.
Each episode is full of cute, entertaining scenarios if Vampirina and her family adapting to life and the difference of their new home.
And I have not told you the best part. Guess who does the voices??? EEK!! James Van Der Beek and Lauren Graham are the parents, Boris and Oxana Hauntley. That is probably why I love listening to the show while Peyt is watching. Even Wanda Sykes makes appearances as Gregoria, Vampirina’s Nanpire and Grandpop’s cantankerous but loyal gargoyle.
It’s a wonderful addition to Disney’s lineup for family viewing. You can watch Vampirina online at Disney Jr or every day on Disney. Check your local provider for times.
