In a few short weeks, Peyton and I will be heading off to Florida for a much-needed vacation. Every time we travel I am always worried one of us will come down ill. Or more that Peyton will come down ill. She can be a real bear when she doesn’t feel well. One way I plan on combating this fear (and the germs) is by bringing my Island Miracles diffuser with us on the trip.
Another benefit of bringing the Island Miracles diffuser with us is it also works as a nightlight. When being used, the diffuser lights up and alternates through seven different colors. The light is soft so it’s perfect to use in a bedroom to help soothe a little one to sleep. Once the diffuser is out of water it shuts off and so does the light.
If you are not an avid essential oil user you are probably wondering how this diffuser is going to help keep my family healthy. Well, I am going to diffuse lemon essential oil every morning when we are getting ready and every evening when we return home. Then I plan on diffusing lavender when it’s bedtime to help Peyton calm down and get a good nights rest.
Lemon essential oil is my go-to essential oil. It helps kill nearly all germs and has a pleasant fragrance. Plus I find citrus fragrances to be invigorating and help me start the day.
The Island Miracles diffuser is small enough that I can pack it in my carry-on or in our suitcase. Since I am traveling solo with a child I will be packing the diffuser in my luggage. That’s one less thing I need to carry on the plan. I’ll just pack some of our clothes around it to make sure it does not get damaged during the trip. Essential oils are allowed on the plane in your carry-on luggage as long as you adhere to the liquid rule. But I’m going to wrap mine in some paper towels, seal in a zip lock baggie and stick in my luggage. Again, I don’t want to carry anything I don’t have to on the plane.
If you are looking for a holistic way to help keep your family healthy this winter look into a diffuser. It’s a simple, nontoxic way to help keep germs away.
