First, I want to apologize there are no kids in this post. Unfortunately, the timing did not work out for Peyton to photograph with this kit before I had to post. But I will update the photos once I get home and can get Peyton and this kit in the same room. I will tell you this, she knew the Outdoor Adventure Exploration Kit for Kids was coming and was pretty excited but then she went for a 2 week stay with her Aunt before it arrived. She was bummed she couldn’t help. But let’s get on to talk about this kit!
It’s a pretty cool kit! It’s full of things little hands are going to want to get their hands on. Every little kid goes through some sort of fascination with bugs during childhood. I know Peyton has gone from loving bugs to being terrified of them to now she’s ok with them as long as they keep their distance. This Outdoor Adventure Kit is pretty much perfect for any of those stages.
Inside the kit you’ll find the following –
Hand Cranked Flashlight
4×30 Binoculars built for kid use
Lensatic Compass
Magnifying Glass
Bug Viewing Jar
Drawstring Bag
Bag of Realistic Bugs
You can use this kit inside or outside, it’s all up to you. But I would suggest only using the realistic bugs if you are using the kit inside. You probably don’t want a whole bunch of live bugs running/flying around your home.
I appreciate the hand-cranked flashlight. No more running around the house trying to find batteries. Those little fingers can do some work and then they will have light.
The binoculars are going to be a hit in our home. Peyton loves sitting on the deck and looking out in the field to see the baby bunnies frolicking in the tall grass.
And I have a feeling the realistic bugs are the route Peyton is going to go. She does not like to be too close to those live bugs.
If I was looking for a fun and creative gift idea for an inquisitive child I would look at this one. I know it would be a hit with my younger nieces and nephews. I would suggest this as a gift idea for 3-9-year-olds.
